NerdHerder is a new kind of motion-controlled table-top augmented reality puzzle game, available for free on iOS and Android. NerdHerder was developed in the AR Game Studio as part of an ongoing exploration of interaction mechanics in AR games, by students from Georgia Tech, the Savanah College of Art and Design’s Atlanta campus, and the Berklee College of Music. NerdHerder grew out of NerdFerno, an experiment exploring AR game mechanics. In NerdHerder your goal is to herd nerds through a distracting office space, help them avoid managers, deal with annoying paperwork, overcome their fear of sports, and chase down donuts, coffee and techie toys! More details can be found on the game’s website, www.MicroNerd.net.
